Descendants of the Lenca Indians - one of the main indigenous groups in Honduras - preserve their heritage by producing extraordinary burnished pottery using techniques passed down through generations of women. Keeping true to pre-Columbian aesthetics and crafting methods, each piece is hand-formed of clay, "reduction fired", and polished with stone to produce a subtle shine. A striking table top accent that also makes a fun tray for candles, each plate comes with an artistically hand-wrought iron display stand (14" tall). *Not for use with food.
