Our Tamarind Pottery Candles are a new twist on an old tradition. For over 500 years, the people of Lombok, Indonesia have been known for their skill at producing highly distinctive earthenware pottery. Using clay form the local hillsides and juice of the tamarind fruit, they are able to create stunning items with a rich leathery-brown finish. Our set of candles takes this ancient craft in a modern direction. Handcrafted using traditional methods, each heavyweight candle features a tamarind pottery container with hand-stamped geometric floral motifs across the front. Filled to the brim with white wax candles, they create the perfect earthy ambience. Ideal for the patio, kitchen, or anywhere else in the house - the rustic pottery containers can be reused for serving or display.
