Terracotta Mission Bell

Inspired by the ruins of 17th century Spanish Missions, our Terracotta Mission Bell combines rustic beauty with timeless appeal. Starting in 1769, Spanish clerics set up missions across the southwest United States. Bells were an important part of everyday life, governing when people woke, ate, worked, and prayed. To weary travelers, bell towers became a welcome site - symbolizing a place for shelter and guidance. Crafted in Mexico, our Terracotta Mission Bell is made of hand-formed clay which is fired in a wood-burning kiln giving it a blackened antique finish. Suspended within a wrought iron stand by roughly twisted rope, its dangling wooden clapper produces a low, mellow tone. Perfect for the garden, porch or any corner of the home - it will add the primitive elegance of the southwest to your decor.

The Terracotta Mission Bell measures 15" tall, the width of the bell is 9.5" and the stand
is 22" tall.
