Hand glazed a beautiful bamboo green with light blue accents, the tea pot holds approximately 5 fluid ounces. Tenmoku Pottery is based on a process first used by Monks in 13th century Japan. The unique pattern is created by pressing real leaves and twigs into the surface prior to firing. The leaves turn to ash, their impression emerges, and a black glaze is applied to the interior making it water tight.
