Handcrafted in Malaysia by a prominent Chinese artist, this ceramic vase is a piece of his well known Tenmoku Pottery Collection.The handle on our Tenmoku Square Leaf Vase is made from solid bamboo found in the mountain areas of Thailand. A feature of Tenmoku Pottery is its natural textured finish created through a process first used by monks on tea bowls in 13th century Japan. The pattern is created by pressing real leaves and twigs into the surface prior to firing. The leaves turn to ash, a unique pattern emerges, and a black glaze is applied to the interior making it water tight. Keep this beautiful and artisic piece for yourself or share with a friend.
